Join us for our 1st Annual 5K Run on Saturday, September 19th at Lake Vista Recreation Center, located at 1401 62nd Avenue South, St. Petersburg, FL 33705. Registration begins at 6:30a.m. and the race begins promptly at 7:30a.m.

30th Annual Community Festival & Fitness Walk/Run

Immediately following the 5K Run we will convene with our Annual Community Festival in the same location. This event is FREE to everyone. The festival will begin with a 1 mile fitness walk/run at 9a.m. followed by the festival beginning at 10a.m. ~Vendors~Music & Entertainment~Health Screenings~3 on 3 Basketball ~Food

This event is Co-Sponsored by the City of St. Petersburg and paid wholly or in part by the State of Florida Office of the Attorney General.

Purpose for the Events:

The purpose of the Community Festival (formerly known as the Crime Run) is to bridge the gap between the Community and Law Enforcement especially among our youth. We are encouraging our youth to find healthy alternatives when it comes to entertainment, giving them opportunities to connect with mentors, and giving them an opportunity to understand how Law Enforcement work. We are also encouraging parents to get involved within the community to help keep it safe so that all our children grow up to lead healthy lives.

Aswers to legal questions on matters such as unfair arrests, bankruptcy, child support, disability, divorce, employer issues, social security, wills, and many other issues will be answered at one of our monthly seminars.

These FREE sessions will be led by a trusted, local St. Petersburg Bar Attorney who will review each topic in simple, straight-forward terms. More importantly each session will include an informational question and answer period.

All sessions will be held at the Pinellas County Urban League Headquarters

Pinellas County Urban League Young Professionals, in partnership with AARP and the Museum of Fine Arts, will host “Paint Your Dream, St. Pete!” on August 29, 2015, from 12:00PM-4:00PM at North Straub Park. This event will be followed by a cocktail reception at the Museum of Fine Arts in Downtown Saint Petersburg. “Paint Your Dream, St. Pete!” is a free event. Sponsorship funds raised will benefit the Pinellas County Urban League.

This free event will provide community members with the opportunity to express their dreams for St. Petersburg by using painting and art as a form of creative expression. “Paint Your Dream, St. Pete!” will also serve as an annual back to school event and celebration for parents, grandparents, children, and community leaders. Funds raised for this event will benefit the Pinellas County Urban League. A school supply drive will also be used to benefit students in PCUL’s NULITES (National Urban League Incentives to Excel and Succeed) program
